This painting is the third in a series. As a child, many of my dreams consisted of texture and depth. As an adult, I am inspired by both. Succulents are a perfect example - this piece highlights a natural depth, but also incorporates some really interesting texture. At first, I was certain it reminded me of velvet, but other glances had me thinking of concrete, chalk and suede. Regardless, I can't help but want to reach out and touch this painting and hope it it makes you want to do the same!
