This piece is part of my paper based collage paintings from the Papers series (2015 - ongoing). All of the pieces start with accumulated and collected paper: postcards from family and friends, envelopes, sketchbook pages, my daughter’s doodles, old wallpaper and photographs, hand-painted papers, and stickers. I piece the papers together following colors, forms, and shapes. There is often the suggestion of topography and water, botanical forms, and big curves of space. There are three parts to Papers No. 28.
