Issued as part of the Garden Flowers series, this stamp belonged to a group of five spring-blooming flowers that included hyacinth, daffodil, tulip, iris, and lilac. The Spring Garden Flowers booklet was first issued on May 15, 1993, in Spokane, Washington, and was printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing using lithographed and engraved production.
