Undone emerged during a period of exploration — an intentional shift away from the known and into a more open, responsive process. Built in layers and then partially taken back, the painting holds the tension between structure and erasure. Lines are traced, softened, and obscured; forms appear, then recede.

There is a sense of what once was — still present, but no longer fixed.

Working with a restrained palette and gestural mark-making, the composition reveals itself slowly. Areas of translucence allow earlier decisions to remain visible beneath the surface, creating depth without weight. What remains is not absence, but refinement — a quiet editing that brings clarity through removal.

Both grounded and in motion, Undone reflects a moment of transition in the studio: a search for new language, new rhythm, and a different way of seeing.
