This piece, the first of two was shaped by moments of stillness. The ones found in quiet spaces in nature where time seems to slow and beauty gently reveals itself. Much of my inspiration for this one comes from the Midwest landscape: the open fields, wildflowers, and steady trees that stand in calm simplicity. Each piece begins with soft washes of watercolor layered slowly, letting the water guide the flow before returning with brushstrokes that bring shape and focus. I love the balance between letting go and being intentional, the same rhythm I find in both in my faith and nature.
