About the work

This pair of abstract expressionist landscapes was created in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. It is home to an abundance of peach, cherry and apple orchards. I imagined children playing in the early morning, the sounds of birds chirping and laughter, in fact it is a memory of my little ones playing tag in the dew laden orchards. I chose soft pastels to evoke this memory.
