Kamala experiences life through her lens with much of her work reflecting the mood of her coastal Southern California home. A longer exposure gives the scene a painterly feel during the last moment of the day, as the sun sets on the Pacific and shines its last light through a glassy crest. .The barrier islands are viewed across the sea channel that protects whales and their calves as they migrate north to Alaska. This photograph was taken at Kamala’s “home” beach, a type of sanctuary, where she sits and thinks until she get her world spinning in the right direction again.
