Kamala experiences life through her lens with much of her work reflecting the mood of her coastal Southern California home. The ocean can be tumultuous and thrilling, especially if you have felt the rumble of crashing waves beneath your feet. But it can also be calm and soothing. For this series Kamala wanted to convey the serenity of the sea with gentle tides gliding around rocks as they reach the shore. This photograph was shot at one of her favorite beaches in Malibu, California.
