About the work

Zinnias bloom in the heat of the summer in my mother's garden. Practically, fluorescent in the sun, they remind us of fireworks in the sky. The seeds are harvested in the fall and stored away, then re-planted the next spring. Generations of these flowers have made them a favorite of the garden.
