A branch of ginkgo that was picked from the tree in the boulevard. So lovely the way the leaves fall away from the stem and seem to float. Painted in a dreamy water color wash defining the ginkgo leaves. It is a part of a water color series exploring a single branch of foliage in an arrestingly simple composition. The natural world is a great source of inspiration for me: the forms, juxtapositions and abundance of entrancing color.
