For as long as I can remember, I have always loved studying plants up close. Often in my work, the focus behind the lens is to consider a subject in a more abstract form. In photography you can look at a subject and understand immediately what it is. I, however am charged by pushing my lens to see perhaps a less obvious view of my subject. By finding a more abstract view of an object, I find creativity and freedom. Loosing obvious associations of a subject (like this tree) I am charged to hunt for good composition within my elements and quality light.
