Hiking about eight or so miles while backpacking in the Sierra Mountains of California, we happened upon this beautiful, crystal clear lake. It was totally serene, quiet and calm. Only a few small clouds in the sky. The perfect place to sit and reflect. We watched the sun slowly move throughout the day until dusk when it finally decided to dip behind the opposite ridge and send shadows across the rock fields like a giant playing marbles.
