One of my favorite themes to paint is still life, particularly those that focus on the beauty of small groupings we see in our daily life, such as a cheese display. I saw this beautifully wrapped wheel of cheese at a local gourmet food shop and was so transfixed by it's beautiful, vibrant wrapper that I went home and painted it the very same day.
