Watching the sea in all its many moods is a favorite pastime of mine. I shoot hundreds of pictures watching waves. It is rare to catch a wave in a sublime moment and when I do I embrace it with enthusiasm. This was one such shot, captured on Hapuna Beach on Hawaii's big island. The tide was coming in stronger as evening approached and breaking on the beautiful rocky shore. I watched for a couple of hours as the day faded and this is one of my favorite shots of that beautiful experience.
