Abstract watercolor. Jewel tones inspired by the sun and sea. Working wet-on-wet techniques with granulating watercolors always yields surprises: the colors gravitate quickly toward one edge of the painting and pull away from another. In this case, I saw the silhouette of a Gulf grouper...and the unforgiving summer Florida sun. This is how "Big Game" was born.
