About the work

La Cremallera, or the zipper, is a ride that lives in infamy. There is no teenager in my hometown that hasn't been dared to ride this monster, and even though the most terrifying thing about it is the rattling of the cage, the thrill keeps calling us back. Another iconic character in our local street fair, I expect to see it return next summer to haunt a new group of teens younger than I. Two of two.
