About the work

These blossoms are some of the first blooms of spring in apple country. As this old apple tree springs to life after it's long winter sleep, the delicate pink and white blooms seem to appear almost over night and are popular with the local bees. I find them absolutely beautiful to photograph, especially in the morning light.

    HI there! I’m an artist living in the South Georgian Bay area of Canada. I’ve been working in the creative field for over 20 yrs, as a graphic designer, photographer and illustrator. I photograph nature and wildlife around my home, and occasionally some travel photography when I am lucky enough to get away and explore! My illustration style blends elements of textured pencils, creamy pastels and gouache. I like to create artwork and characters that are light-hearted and playful.
