This photograph was captured from the Southern California shore of San Clemente. Surfers from the line-up all attempt to catch the one wave. It is a visual escape for your space so you can experience the magic of the sea in the same way it sings to me.

    about the artist

    bySummer Strauch

    San Clemente, CA

Growing up in Honolulu, Hawaii, the daughter of a surf legend, Paul Strauch Jr. I spent my childhood playing in the sand and deep in the ocean. I feel myself by the sea. It gives me strength, serenity and fills me with ideas and creativity. There is a quote by R.M. Drake that really captures who I am as a beach photographer, ‘She smiled at the ocean because the waves told her story.’
