Inspiration for "Cool Sandstone" surfaced from walks on the beach, watching the landscape of the ocean. Peaceful, calming shades of creamy white give way to deeper stormy tones in a dusky navy that change from one moment to the next. Having grown up near the sea, it is an element that always seems to show through in my paintings.
