This illustration is part of a series of state floral bouquets inspired by my love of flowers. The Rose arkansana also known as the wild prairie rose became the official state flower of Iowa in 1897. The plant can grow up to three feet tall and blooms in June. The pretty flowers range in color from light to dark pink.
