This oil painting was inspired by the warm, sun drenched color of a summer afternoon. With most landscape paintings I like to use a few inspiration photos for reference, which can sometimes be a crutch. With this painting, however, I didn't use any reference material and chose to keep it loose and spontaneous.This painting was originally painted as a set and may be paired with Flower Meadow 1.
