What can I say? Happy, smiling? This was inspired by my daughter's first flower garden! Part of a series of three, Lexi's Garden 1 pairs beautifully with Lexi's Garden 2 and 3, blending green's, blue's, purples, with pops of yellow gold. A happy garden in springtime.

As an artist, painting can be tormenting and sublime at the same time. I'm a big risk taker, experimenting with different materials to layer, stain, scrap and saturate color on large canvases. My most successful work is complex yet minimal. Some of my work achieves a sense of fluid movement with saturated color, while my newer collection is so textured it is like frosting. The end result should be a painting that will spiritually and emotionally capture, calm, and elevate us.
