This work began life as a woven collage of paper strips for a textile pattern design. While I was working on it digitally I became aware that it was very much morphing into an architectural piece. I was reminded of reflections on city buildings in the heat of the day and began to work more color into it. Reflections are as much about light as they are about human emotions. These buildings are reflecting both and I chose tones of lavender and mauve to express this notion. I imagine the thoughts and feelings of people going about their city lives being drawn into the facades and bounced back. This is energy.
