This photo is a companion piece to another art print titled "Our Pastime." Aged objects often tell amazing stories. I was first drawn to the beautiful textures of this vintage baseball, but also to the obvious amount of game time it must have seen—the victories and defeats. I grew up watching baseball with my dad and to me this photograph conjures up a lifetime of memories and celebrates a love of the game.

A Nebraska native, Karen Kaul spent her childhood summers in the Colorado mountains and desert Southwest, forming a deep love of minimalist landscapes. With a B.A. in Studio Art, Karen lives and works near Minneapolis as a graphic designer and artist.
