About the work
This children's art print is inspired by my love of cats. I have four cats of my own. I love animals in general and they are a constant inspiration for my art. I liked the idea of drawing cats at play with a ball of yarn in various sweet poses.

I'm a surface pattern and textile designer and I love to use nature themes in my designs. I love animals and gardening and taking walks in parks--a sketchbook is always at hand--so those themes appear frequently in my work. I'm thrilled that we have monarch butterflies in our backyard after we planted milkweed.
