This painting was my happy dance and it hung for some time in my home. When I finally let it go it sold and went to its new happy home in the Hamptons. Soft blues mingle with washes of sea green and teal creating fluid movement that structure this composition. The curl of a wave teases the pale yellow wash of the sky quieting all the noise.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

As an artist, painting can be tormenting and sublime at the same time. I'm a big risk taker, experimenting with different materials to layer, stain, scrap and saturate color on large canvases. My most successful work is complex yet minimal. Some of my work achieves a sense of fluid movement with saturated color, while my newer collection is so textured it is like frosting. The end result should be a painting that will spiritually and emotionally capture, calm, and elevate us. less
