About the work
Bluenote is part of a series of painted, cut out, collaged paper artworks which together I call "Inside." I developed this style during Covid, and had the distinct feeling my ancestors were coming to me through the random shapes that appeared through my scissors, surprisingly forming figures. "Inside" was a quiet tribute to returning inside to ourselves, returning inside literally, (as in lock down) and listening inside to the soft quiet voice that resides inside, awaiting your attentive ears.
