About the work
The simple and graphic patterns of this magpie inspired me to take this photograph. I loved how this bird was outlined in the snow and how the contrast of his black feathers were emphasized. He stood still with the snow falling around him and I wanted the viewer to stop and realize the beauty of this bird.
