This children's art print is inspired by flight and the interest children have in flying vehicles. I sought to convey the variety of flying vehicles and I liked the idea of using vintage style colors in a modern drawing. The piece is intended to be part of a series of vehicle prints.

I'm a surface pattern and textile designer and I love to use nature themes in my designs. I love animals and gardening and taking walks in parks--a sketchbook is always at hand--so those themes appear frequently in my work. I'm thrilled that we have monarch butterflies in our backyard after we planted milkweed.
