What I love most about this photo, and water photography, is its transience. From the reflections of the light to the movement of the sea, this image can never be recreated. And yet, when I look upon this image I am transported back. I can still feel the warm, golden light and once again, I return to the water. The figure blending into the water—unclear where one begins and the other ends—reminds us that we are but a drop in the ocean and yet even a tiny ripple can cast a big wave.
