About the work

The photograph is part of a larger series of images that I shot from the car while driving down small, desolate New Mexico roads. I was inspired by the scenery and the idea of the all-American road trip. When I returned home from my trip, I wanted to give the series a unique, vintage look. Using my iPhone and an app with a vintage grid look, I layered the two photographs together to give the finished piece a distinctive look.
