This landscape was inspired by the beautiful salt marshes that surround the barrier island in the South Carolina Lowcountry, where I live with my family. Here in the South we don't get a lot of foliage color changes, but the marsh is a constant reminder of the season. This painting was inspired by the Fall season in the lowcountry, when the sea grass starts to lose its green and turn autumnal hues.
