I've always found inspiration in these exotic palms. Recently, I've been traveling through Asia and have seen so many of them. Out of all the different species I've come across this specific grouping of fan palms really jumped out at me, they were overlapping beautifully and seemed to have emotion and personality all of their own, With a light pencil approach, I tried to capture the elegance and beauty. As I travel I'm always in search of the path less traveled which usually holds the next visual adventure.

    about the artist

    byBrian Lee

    Playa Del Rey, CA

Born in the US in 1982, life started for me in rural Alaska and the american midwest. I was raised on looney toons cartoons, animaniacs and indian jones films. But mainly spent most of my time wandering around in the woods with a sketch pad and number 2 pencil. I spent my child hood in nature and ever since, have been completely infatuated with recreating my own perception of it through my art.
