'Absolute Beginners' is a large-scale painting that is part of a series that debuted in 2021 entitled 'Locus Amoenus'. Locus Amoenus (Latin for "pleasant place") is a literary topos involving an idealized place of safety or comfort. An abstract exploration of the concepts of the Ideal or Utopia through abstract 'essential geometries' While the classical trope of the locus amoenus consists of images of trees, grass, and water, the more architectonic nature of Namavari's work focuses on creating minimalistic compositions of geometric elements that conceptually explore the same philosophical concepts. Abstraction frees the artwork from time and morality, the use of primary colors further removes the compositions from the chaos of reality. Rather than literal landscapes, her works focus on the concept of the locus amoenus as a 'landscape of the mind'.
