About the work

As an artist and photographer, I am constantly thinking of new ways to express myself through my work. A lot of my work involves water because I'm naturally drawn to the peace I feel when I am near or in the water. So I naturally had to find out how I could possibly take my camera with me underwater. I quickly learned that being in the water with my camera had a meditative effect on me, quieting all the nonsense and opening up a beautiful space to just feel and create. I absolutely love doing underwater portraits like this one because it is an incredible experience that unlocks an inner peace and tranquility for both myself and my subject. This image is part of my underwater portrait collection and I hope to add more soon.
