I find beauty and inspiration in the natural world. In this series I chose to explore the typical scene of sunset at the beach. Through a combination of vibrating layers of color and form I focused on the different shades as sunset progresses from dusk to twilight. The format of this series was sparked by a curiosity to fabricate new pieces by combining elements from my physical artworks into digital collages. Each colorful shape used to construct this unique print was created from cropped images of close-up photographs of original mixed media collages fabricated on paper and canvas.
