I was born and raised in the fair city of Los Angeles. To say I love it is an understatement. I have lived on the eastside, the westside, and the in-between, and have felt nothing but inspiration for its diverse neighborhoods, culture, and energy. This specific drawing is inspired by my love of a good neighborhood roof party. I have been to many in my day and always find myself amazed with the different views of downtown you can gleam from climbing to the top of a friend’s apartment building, or witnessing a magical outdoor downtown wedding. I have recently come back to my early love of loose, hand drawn artwork, using mixed media like pens, pencils, and gouache.
