A note from the artist: Since having my own children, motherhood became one of my greatest sources of inspiration. This black and white watercolor painting is an abstract depiction of a mother comfortingly holding her baby on her chest. Utilizing the organic quality of watercolors, translucent layers of paint highlight the emotion radiating between them. The pose feels universal and evokes a deep connection and love.
