About the work
I am an early riser. The stillness of the morning and the feeling of possibility at dawn is my favorite part of the day. In this painting, I used a fresh palette of blues, teals, soft pinks and the palest yellow against a textured white background to evoke the feeling we all enjoy as we welcome the increasing light at the beginning of spring.
