I always take notice of the way sunlight falls on objects. This beautiful carved wooden bowl in a small seafront shop in northern Finland caught my eye. It had been carefully and lovingly hand made and there was a beautiful softness to the pattern formed by undulating light and shadow. The memory prompted me to draw this.
