This ethereal cloudscape was inspired by the prolific and massive cumulus clouds rising over the Flathead Valley this spring. As they bubbled up higher and higher in the sky, they dwarfed the mountains below creating a surreal, otherworldly fortress of clouds all around.

    about the artist

    byMya Bessette

My aesthetic is ever-changing. Ethereal-light-reflective and playful one moment, industrial-modern-gritty-urban the next. I find it so difficult to limit myself to any one style because I like to be surrounded by contrasting elements in my own environment. A painting should evoke emotion in its owner every time he or she looks at it. When I create my paintings, I envision them in someone’s home and hope that each piece brings as much joy to its new owner as it did to me during its creation.
