An abstract landscape of prairie grasses and farm fields. Inspiration for this painting on raw canvas was taken from a hike with my family in the Loess Hills of western Iowa. The paint takes on a watercolor-like quality, flowing and blending in unexpected ways. My goal with this series is to explore the line between abstract and landscape, that takes the viewer to somewhere in a dream or a memory. The paintings are named with conjunction words, to represent the conjunction of abstract and representational work.
