I've been a betta keeper for many years and have had the joy of meeting many betta breeders and betta show champions. In June 2019, MyHusband and I founded our first nonprofit organization, the Greater San Diego Betta Chapter (GSDBC), which is devoted to betta care and betta stewardship. GSDBC is a sister organization to the San Diego Tropical Fish Society (SDTFS), which was founded in 1948. GSDBC is also a sanctioned chapter of the International Betta Congress (IBC). To showcase my affinity for bettas, especially Betta splendens, I created this art piece.
