About the work
I am always drawn to beach guard chairs. The chair stands alone on the beach, with a view out to sea, and gathers memories of summer, ideas of fun and play, coupled with loneliness of an individual point of view. The simple graphic lines and pale art deco style turquoise of the guard chair evoke a dream of summer. This can be paired with the other guard chair image from this series.
