This bouquet of flowers was painted with the change in seasons in mind. Colorful buds burst forth from the dark background to try to hold onto brighter, longer days. My brushes attempt to capture this last colorful goodbye before the new season of neutral sets in and I have to wait until the first buds of color pop up in spring.
