The coast of California is steeped in Native American history. In our region, a range of nine extinct volcano peaks named the Nine Sisters runs in a line from Morro Bay to San Luis Obispo. This was the original home of the Chumash Indians, who made camps at the base of the peaks. This piece is a tribute to the first settlers of my home.
