About the work
With this painting I aimed to capture the beauty of the Kenmare coast on the famous "Ring of Kerry" in Ireland. I concentrated on the soft, flowing feel of the landscape. Sky, land and sea are entangled into a lush garden and are just perfect to be painted in watercolour.

I am a graphic designer originally, but in 2011 I decided to spend more time away from the computer, which led me back to my first love, painting! Which then led to surface design, and then illustration. And it set my life on a different path … nowadays I work from my small but cozy home studio in the beautiful Lahn River Valley. I love to sketch and paint outdoors and I call our rooftop garden and the valley itself my second and third workplace.
