Nature remains to be important in my work, and I've always been interested in painting this subject in a way that's beyond just a realistic painting. I tend to abstract the painting in some way, and in this case, it's with white brush strokes. By painting the white specks with a masking fluid first, I was able to construct the remainder landscape with these quirky and fun strokes of white mixed in. These brush strokes at times feel like snow, and other times were inspired by small flowers grown on tree branches. The ambiguity of them is what I love about this painting. This print comes in both portrait and square.
