This photograph was taken at The Carmel Mission also known as The Mission San Carlos Borroméo del río Carmelo. This mission was built in 1793 and founded by Father Junipero Serra. I took the photo when I taught second grade there. Every morning before school started I liked to walk around the courtyard and this chair under a canopy of grapes was one of my favorite spots to sit and have quiet time. Hope you enjoy!

ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am an elementary school teacher living in Indiana. I am also trained in art therapy specializing in working with children with autism. I have an eclectic quirky style and approach photography with a sense of whimsy and wonder. I love nature and antiques especially old technologies.
