About the work

Meerkats, sketched at the Seattle Zoo. These adorable meerkats really don't have much to worry about, like their wild cousins do--always on the lookout for unwelcome visitors, while their family group sleeps or finds a snack. These well-fed zoo meerkats were relaxed enough to keep watch on their haunches, with a lazy glance here and there. Perhaps the second meerkat in the drawing has spotted the 1 pm flight from San Francisco to Seattle, hardly cause for concern with this easy going group.
